About us
Echolot – Projekte für demokratische Kultur, gegen Mafien e.V. (Echolot – projects for democractic culture, against the mafias) is an association founded in Berlin in 2011 carrying out research, education and cultural projects in the fields of human rights, democratic culture and social justice. The association analyzes the mafias and criminal economies to develop ways of denouncing them, and to create civil society-models of fighting and preventing them. The association's prevention activities against mafia-type systems are designed as cultural strategies, often characterized through its expertise in performative and figurative techniques.
